Among the many activities PPI runs around the world, PPI Dunia consistently holds the OISAA International Symposium: a fixed annual programme comprising an international congress, commission sessions, seminars, an expo, panel discussions on current issues, and cultural exchange. For this year’s edition in Egypt, the symposium also serves to introduce Egypt and its historically rich destinations to a global audience, through partnerships with Indonesian national media and international media.

The symposium’s principal aims are to deepen understanding and awareness of pressing issues, to encourage international cooperation in education, business, culture and other sectors, and at the same time to strengthen ties between Indonesian student associations across 68 countries as well as the bilateral relationship between Indonesia and Egypt.

The event draws Indonesian students from around the world, Indonesian students currently studying in Egypt, academics, practitioners, entrepreneurs and government officials with an interest in global affairs. The OISAA International Symposium was first held in Australia in 2007 and has since taken place in more than 17 countries, most recently in 2025 in Bursa, Türkiye.
